Chapman Taylor has designed and delivered some of the world’s most innovative cinema developments in Dubai on behalf of Emaar Entertainment and its Reel Cinemas subsidiary. Building on decades of experience, our designs have brought state-of-the-art cinema environments to Dubai, enhancing the experience of Emirati moviegoers and maximising value and impact for the cinema developers. Below are some of the industry-leading Dubai cinema projects which Chapman Taylor has designed and delivered in collaboration with Emaar Entertainment.
This 49-seat hotel cinema was the first of its kind to open in the UAE, offering the latest global and regional films to both hotel guests and the general public. The stylish yet comfortable décor and seating are colourful and in keeping with the target demographic of this mid-range, hipster-friendly hotel.
Reflecting Rove Downtown’s ornate charm, Reel Cinemas at Rove Downtown has stylised seating and a distinctive inner-city vibe along with ample parking space. The contemporary ‘Reel Boutique’ experience provides a casual-chic experience for movie-goers. The cinema is also a venue for screening events, including sporting and cultural occasions.

Chapman Taylor’s renovation of the Reel Cinemas offering at The Dubai Mall, phase one of which won ‘Best Leisure Interior’ at the 2018 Dubai Property Awards, has created the best cinematic experience in the region. As well as being the largest cinema in the UAE, Reel Cinemas at The Dubai Mall is the world’s first cinema with all screens using laser RGB projectors and Dolby Atmos sound and adopts the world’s first fully automated sales process. Large LED screens clad the walls at entrances and in the lobby, and a Twitter wall has been installed for people to upload their messages and see them appear live on the screen. There is also a striking cinema access corridor, with curved and inclined LED screens creating a stunning visual effect.
