Castle Park View shortlisted in the South West Property Awards

Castle Park View in Bristol has been shortlisted for Development of the Year in Insider’s South West Property Awards. The awards ceremony will take place at Bristol Marriott Hotel City Centre on 13th October. Chapman Taylor, acting for Linkcity, was responsible for the architectural design of the scheme and worked with Bouygues UK on the construction phase and interior design.

Chapman Taylor director Nick Thursby says, “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this attractive scheme which takes advantage of its proximity to the city centre and nearby floating harbour to create a landscaped and desirable place to live within Bristol.”

Castle Park View has regenerated a brownfield site owned by Bristol City Council and Homes England in a prime location on the south-eastern corner of Castle Park – the largest urban green space in Bristol. On the site of a former ambulance station, the scheme provides 375 new homes, through a mixture of Build-to-Rent and affordable dwellings. Active ground-floor frontages to Castle Park are provided through the main entrance lobby, business centre, concierge reception and leisure facilities for the buildings’ residents. A 26-storey tower and a 10-storey block bookend the scheme, with a building connecting the two and providing frontage to the park. The strong built form along the northern boundary is reminiscent of the old castle wall which once stood on the site.

The South West Property Awards is the highlight of the calendar for the property and construction sector in the region, celebrating the outstanding achievements of the people, businesses and organisations which have designed, developed, funded, built and managed the built environment in the region.

This is the 15th annual awards. To view the full shortlist visit: South West Property Awards 2022. To book your table at the South West Property Awards 2022 dinner, please click here.
