Chapman Taylor completes turnkey workplace design in MediaCity’s prestigious Orange Building

Chapman Taylor is proud to announce the successful completion of a cutting-edge workplace on the 10th floor of the Orange Building in MediaCity, Salford, Manchester, UK. This milestone is part of our continued efforts in shaping the MediaCity Workplace Design Strategy.

The newly designed 16,000 sqft space offers a panoramic view of MediaCity and the Manchester skyline, creating an inspiring environment for its occupants. The space is meticulously tailored to accommodate a diverse range of occupier needs, with various work settings crafted to support productivity and flexibility.

Expertly delivered by Consensus, the turnkey solution results from thoughtful planning, ensuring potential occupiers can effortlessly transition into a space that meets their dynamic requirements. Leveraging our deep understanding of emerging workplace trends, we have incorporated a carefully selected palette of materials to foster a vibrant and engaging environment, enabling new occupiers to occupy seamlessly.

Gavin King

Director, UK

Gavin joined Chapman Taylor in 2021 to help reinforce and expand our capability in the workplace sector, in which he has more than 25 years of award-winning experience working as an Interior Designer with global clients, government agencies, academia and professional services organisations.

Having worked on projects with a diverse range of well-known clients, Gavin has extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and is frequently invited to contribute to roundtable discussions and networking events. He is able to quickly build strong relationships with clients and end-users and excels at briefing and engagement.

Gavin passionately believes in working with clients and collaboratively including them in the design process, and he has a keen interest in how design can support business change, believing there is a need to focus on delivering economically successful projects that support clients in their business objectives.

Lucy Durkan (BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design)

Associate Director, UK

Lucy joined Chapman Taylor in 2022 and has over 15 years experience of in commercial interior design. She has worked within a range of sectors specialising in education and workplace design, and specifically within the healthcare sector, dementia care design.

Lucy is a highly self-motivated and organised design professional who has a keen flair for furniture and lighting and how colour, texture and patterns can be used to create beautiful interiors. Lucy has worked for organisations including Sheppard Robson and Capita Symonds, mainly within the workplace and residential sectors.
