Chapman Taylor to speak at the Oman Real Estate Conference & Exhibition on May 1st 2024 in Muscat

Chapman Taylor Director, Olly Bradley-Barnard, from our Dubai studio, is set to share insights at the Oman Real Estate Conference & Exhibition on May 1st, 2024. The conference is part of the Oman Design & Build Week which takes place between April 29th - May 1st 2024.

Oman Design & Build Week is the Sultanate of Oman’s most prominent B2B exhibition and conference for the building construction, design and real estate industry.

Scheduled at 11:00 to 11:20 Muscat time, Olly will take the main stage in Hall 3 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre to discuss "The Contextual Masterplanning Approach: Creating Authentic Places & Spaces."

During his talk, Olly will delve into Chapman Taylor's approach to masterplanning, highlighting how a contextual approach fosters an enriching and educational design process. By leveraging local cultures, vernaculars, landscapes, and ways of living, this approach ensures that spaces and places are unique and relevant to their surroundings.

As a world-leading masterplanner and architect practice, with over five decades of experience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, Chapman Taylor has a wealth of expertise in planning complex mixed-use masterplans which you can hear about at this conference.

Olly Bradley-Barnard (BArch)

Olly joined Chapman Taylor’s Bangkok studio in 2012. During his time in South East Asia, he worked on a variety of award-winning projects in the region, including Mui Dinh Eco Park in Vietnam – winner of the prestigious MIPIM “Best Futura Mega Project” Award in 2018.

He joined our Dubai studio in 2018 to strengthen our presence in the region with his experience of designing in many different countries and cultures. He has worked on many key projects in the region, including a major mixed-use project in Madinah, Airport City in Jeddah and many important government-funded projects in Saudi Arabia.

Olly’s approach to projects is to create and develop a design concept that has a strong identity, informed by the place, the culture and other aspects of the development’s context.

Olly was promoted to the position of Director in our Dubai studio in 2022.
