Development permit obtained for Ferra & CO Retail and Entertainment Park in Durres, Albania

We are pleased to announce that the Chapman Taylor designed Ferra & CO Retail and Entertainment Park project in Durres, Albania, has now obtained its development permit from the local authorities. We are now completing work stage two.

Situated in the vibrant city of Durres, on the beautiful Adriatic coast of Albania, just 33km west of the capital city, Tirana, the project site spans an expansive area of 220,000m2. The proposed Gross Leasable Area (GLA) for the retail, cinema, and food court components is approximately 40,000m2 and will be built in several phases.

Durres, experiencing rapid urban growth, has become Albania's second most populous city. Its population is approximately 400,000 inhabitants and the catchment area within a 30-minute drive includes around 1 million people. In addition, Albania attracts 10 million tourists annually. Positioned at the city's northeast border, the site offers excellent visibility from both Durres and Tirana.

Albania is renowned for its breathtaking mountains, stunning seafront, rich history, and vibrant traditional culture. The Albanian people embrace a Mediterranean lifestyle and spend a significant amount of time outdoors.
