Doha: Mall of Qatar set to be one of the Middle East’s leading Retail & Entertainment hubs in 2015
Designed by Chapman Taylor, The Mall of Qatar, Doha, is on track to open to the public by the end of 2015.
With an area of over 4 million sqf, the Mall will offer 500 shops and 80 food and beverage outlets. It is expected to attract 20 million shoppers annually and is one of the largest construction projects in the Middle East.
Some key attractions at this exciting development include:
- The Mall will be home to the largest IMAX screen in the world with over 3000 seats and will introduce new ground-breaking 3D laser technology. The cinema area will also include six exclusive VIP screens, bowling lanes and a host of new and unique in-theatre dining options.
- The world's first indoor Angry Birds Activity Park, which is a partnership with video game developer Rovio, the company behind the highly successful 'Angry Birds' franchise.
- There will also be a 210 room Five star fashion hotel which is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.
The Mall will stand out in the region for its emphasis on family and entertainment. It is situated adjacent to one of the stadiums to be use during the 2022 World Cup and as such will have its own dedicated metro station.
