European Urban Regeneration: Creating Sustainable and Unique Urban Environments
On July 21, 2023, one of Chapman Taylor's urban regeneration and masterplanning specialists, UK Board Director Chris Lanksbury, took the stage in Shanghai to share insights on European experiences of urban regeneration. The event attracted a diverse audience, both in-person and online, with over 8,000 attendees.
The event was organised by Xiongda Design Hub who is a media platform that specialises in hosting architecture-related events, and CAID (the China Association of International Design) which acts as a unifying platform for international architecture, landscape, planning, engineering design and consulting practices in mainland China.
The event's primary focus was to showcase to the Chinese market the design and implementation of sensitive urban regeneration masterplans from pioneers in the field of urban regeneration in Europe. With a portfolio of internationally acclaimed projects, Director Chris Lanksbury presented several Chapman Taylor masterplans that restored and enhanced the urban fabric of European cities.

The Flow Building, Czech Republic: Embracing Czech Republic's unique charm, the Flow Building exemplifies how urban regeneration can complement the local character, offering a seamless blend of functionality and aesthetics.
The speech provided valuable insights into the intricate process of integrating urban regeneration projects into existing cities to create successful, distinctive, and high-quality developments.
