Forum Sintra wins the Across Award for the Most Innovative Shopping Centre

On the 26th April Forum Sintra won the Across Award 2012 for the most innovative shopping centre in the category relating to projects of more than 50,000m². The award ceremony took place in Vienna as part of the 14th Shopping Center Symposium organized by RegioPlan .

This mall’s design concept, developed by Chapman Tayor España together with the local architects ARX Portugal, started with the desire to break away from the conventional ideas that most shopping malls are built around. The centre is considered a pilot study for a new generation of future commercial developments and is currently awaiting its BREEAM environmental certificate.
