Italy: Development of a new Technology park in Bolzano, Italy, set to start in March

On February 2nd, the name, concept and design for a new Technology Park, designed by the Milan office of Chapman Taylor in collaboration with Studio CLEAA, was launched to the local community and media in Bolzano, Italy.

The developed set to start work in March, will be called NOI Technology Park (Nature of Innovation) - and will host a range of innovative companies, research institutions and training centres.

The project includes the restoration of both existing buildings, as well as the construction of a new building. The new building will be in the form of a black monolith which will create an ‘architectural bridge’ between existing older buildings, which were once parts of an aluminium factory built in the Bauhaus style, and subject to protection orders.

All work for the entire project will be completed by the end of 2017.
