Jorge Alonso Rodríguez to speak at Greencities/S-Moving Summit in Málaga on 29 September
Madrid studio Architect and Planner Jorge Alonso Rodríguez will be among the speakers at this year’s Greencities/S-Moving Summit, which takes place in Málaga from 29-30 September.
The Greencities/S-Moving Summit is a platform for key figures from the urban design, transport, smart technology and government sectors, along with other stakeholders, to discuss and showcase sustainable urban innovation strategies and the latest urban mobility and urban design technologies. The two-day event will take place at FYCMA Málaga.
On 29 September, Jorge will be part of a panel discussion on the topic of "Urban Revolution", with Jorge's particular focus being on new modes of residential living, including Build-to-Rent, modular residential development and co-living, as well as the rise of the phenomenon of 'digital nomads' and the increase in the numbers of people working from home since the COVID-19 pandemic. The panel discussion takes place from 12:15 to 13:15 CET.
He will also talk about Chapman Taylor’s sustainable urban design strategies, including our multi-modal transport hubs and our 15-Minute City and Smart City projects, which form part of our commitment to environmentally, socially and economically Responsible Design.
Jorge is responsible for our business development strategy in Spain and Latin America and is a regular speaker at international real estate conferences on innovation, technology, society, the future and responsible design. As an Architect and Planner, he is a member of the Madrid studio’s Creative Research team and a specialist in project design, having worked on the design and development of many mixed-use, retail, leisure, office, hotel and residential projects in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
