Leisure Director David Wallace to speak at the World Cinema Congress in Dubai on 25-26 February

Leisure Director David Wallace will be speaking at the World Cinema Congress, which takes place on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 February 2019 at the Meydan Hotel in Dubai.

The event will bring together experts and key decision-makers from across the region and internationally to discuss opportunities and new approaches in movie theatre development.

At 10.15am on day two, David will be presenting some of Chapman Taylor's insights into how to create what is known as the 'wow factor' from the moment moviegoers enter the cinema complex right through to the latest audiovisual cinema theatre technology. He will outline some of what he believes will be the key digital technology disrupters of the next five years.

David will also take part in a panel discussion at 1.30pm about the ways in which cinema can thrive in the digital age, where he and other industry experts will talk about how to innovate to compete with home entertainment as well as exploring the possibility of the cinema format working together with the likes of Netflix instead of in opposition to them.
