Chapman Taylor has developed the concept masterplan for the extension of Oriental Jurassic Theme Park in Changzhou, China, a visionary 325-hectare urban development that merges cultural heritage, tourism, and leisure into a dynamic, world-class destination.
A journey through time
Located at the crossroads of Tianning and Xinbei districts, the project is designed to offer a unique time-travel experience, blending natural landscapes, transport networks, and immersive attractions.
Key features include:
- A themed light rail system, designed to evoke the journey through time
- Integrated road and pedestrian landscapes, enhancing connectivity with green corridors
- Parking and landscape amenities, thoughtfully planned to improve urban flow while complementing the area's architectural elegance
At the heart of the development is the Time Theme Park in Nanting Square, China’s first public park dedicated to a time-travel theme at 120° East longitude. Designed as a landmark cultural and ecological experience, the park will immerse visitors in history, nature, and innovation.
