MediaCityUK wins Project of the Year

MediaCityUK, the first development in the world be granted a BREEAM Community Status, has won Project of the Year at the North West Regional Construction Awards.


On Thursday 26th May the winners of the North West Regional Construction Awards 2011 were revealed at Chester Racecourse.

The achievements of the region's best and most innovative construction projects and organisations were celebrated with 17 awards presented to winners selected from over 100 nominations and the prestigious Project of the Year Award going to MediaCity UK.  This Award recognises the highest level of technical achievement, innovation and application of best practice, while delivering a project to time and budget and with teams working throughout the supply chain and is a fantastic result for all involved with the project.

The awards were hosted by the Centre for Construction Innovation, the Constructing Excellence centre for the North West, and part of the School of the Built Environment at the University of Salford.
