New 13-screen Muvi Cinema opens to film lovers at Nakheel Mall in Riyadh
The latest Chapman Taylor-designed Muvi Cinemas development has opened to moviegoers in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at Nakheel Mall.
The 13-screen multiplex includes the immersive Screen X and Muvi Xperience formats as well as Dolby Cinema, Samsung Onyx, VIP Suites and regular cinemas. The venue can accommodate up to 1,700 moviegoers, showing the best regional, Hollywood, and Bollywood films.
Our design for the cutting-edge cinema complex has a theme of urban downtown, with the intention of creating a dynamic, modern and innovative cinema experience. Internal spaces are characterised by an industrial, yet luxurious, material palette, including timber, exposed steelwork, exposed brickwork and an exposed concrete floor.
This new location is part of an ongoing roll-out of cinemas by the first ever Saudi-owned cinema brand. Muvi Cinemas’ plan is to have 20 cinemas opened across the country by early 2021.
