Promotions to the UK Board
Chapman Taylor, an award-winning practice of global architects and masterplanners, is delighted to announce a number of promotions within the company.
The following UK Directors have been promoted to the UK Board:
Andy Carroll – UK Board Director
Andy joined Chapman Taylor's Manchester studio in 2002 and worked initially on the detailed design stages of M&G’s Manchester Arndale where he was site based for three years as part of the Lendlease delivery team. Following this he ran our Northgate Chester team before spending two years seconded to Peel Media where he successfully delivered the technical & operational fit-out of the TV studios for use by the BBC, ITV and other programme makers. Becoming an Associate Director in 2007, Andy has taken an active role in helping to build the Manchester studio’s design capabilities and business development activities. In 2013 Andy was promoted to Director to further strengthen the management team and has continued to be instrumental in growing the business in Manchester to a team of fifty. He leads our D&B Delivery BD team and recent successes include the BCO award winning Tomorrow building at MediaCityUK and securing both the Kampus and South Village major residential projects in Manchester city centre. Andy brings a broad range of technical design experience and established business development skills to the UK business and his promotion to the UK Board will further strengthen our strategy of continuing to diversify the business’ design capabilities and improving our delivery track-record.
Nick Thursby – UK Board Director
Nick joined Chapman Taylor’s London studio in 1999 and has worked on many of our multi-award winning projects including Trinity Leeds, Cabot Circus in Bristol and Princesshay in Exeter. Over the years he has gained a wealth of architectural experience across a wide range of sectors and project work stages from concept through to construction. In 2012, Nick was instrumental in establishing our Bristol studio, which started with three people and now stands at 31. Having out grown our current Bristol studio space, we will be moving to a larger studio in the middle of July to facilitate further growth of the business. The studio has secured a significant work stream, with Nick playing an important part in the winning of the PRS development known as Castle Park View in Bristol and also leading on the second phase of Princesshay Exeter, the extension of McArthurGlen’s Ashford Outlet Centre and Hammerson’s retail scheme at Didcot.
Congratulations to both Andy and Nick.
