Chapman Taylor to talk about modular design at forthcoming Development Summit
Chapman Taylor are to be part of the forthcoming Estates Gazette's 'Development Summit', taking place on November 10th.
This year the annual event moves to the ICC in Birmingham, UK and will gather professionals together to discuss regeneration, infrastructure and funding.
UK residential experts Tom Klingholz, Director and Michael Swiszczowski, Director will be part of a panel discussing construction and design / modular construction vs custom built, where they will talk about their work and research with modular and offsite design, particularly the studio's current offsite modular project Umbrellahaus.
Modular is currently at the forefront of the construction industry with the government preparing a raft of incentives to deliver more than 100,000 modular homes to help tackle the housing crisis. There is consensus that modular construction could make a big contribution towards hitting the target of building one million new homes by 2020.
