Unique entertainment centre to feature at Mall of Qatar

Set to officially open in 2017, the Mall of Qatar will feature a unique entertainment hub - MOQLIVE.

MOQLIVE will include free live concerts and entertainment activities throughout the year brought to life by a cast and crew of more than 50 international theatre professionals, performing in the heart of the shopping center - the Oasis.

The Oasis is covered with a 6,000 m² glassed dome of 30 metre height that is carried by four giant steel trees. The focal point of Oasis is a 15 meters in diameter rotating stage on a central hydraulic lift, theatrical sound and light, high wire rigging, special effects, and animated water.

The shows will be custom designed by theatre production specialists, Premium Projects, based in Germany. Nearly 1,000 performers were cast from around the world to find the best performers and select talent for the shows.

The crew also consists of professional tailors costume, lighting designers, stage managers, sound engineers, carpenters and scenery make-up artists. During the performance, up to 25 dancers, singers, actors and acrobats will be on the stage.

When fully operational, Mall of Qatar will boast over 500 shops including 100 F&B outlets which are currently in the fit-out stage.
