Award winning shopping centre, Trinity, leads the way with one-of-a-kind indoor food market
A first for the UK and the British Street Food movement, ‘Trinity Kitchen’ in Leeds is an innovative new take on eating out which sees some of the UK’s best street food vans lifted from the street, one floor up, into this innovative indoor food market.
Eating off the street is fast becoming a thriving trend in the UK and this new marketplace transports vehicles through the façade into the first floor level with a specially constructed mobile hydraulic lift parked in the street. With everything from the freshest Thai food lifted straight from the streets of Thailand, to double smoked pork and beef hot dogs served from an American hot dog cart, Trinity Kitchen is offering shoppers an authentic taste of the very best street food from across the UK.
Working with food journalist and the brains behind the British Street Food Awards, Richard Johnson, Trinity Kitchen selects five new vendors to replace the existing line-up every month, offering shoppers something new each time they visit. The great advantage of this changing street market is not only does it offer the customer a wider food choice, it is also roofed and therefore not weather dependent like most in the UK.
Trinity Leeds is one of the UK’s largest shopping centres, it opened its doors in 2013 and has since won 10 awards for Chapman Taylor as well as becoming a leading destination for Yorkshire.
