Excavation starts at new flagship store in Wuppertal, Germany

Chapman Taylor is planning a five storey flagship store with basement garage for Signature Capital directly next to the main railway station in Wuppertal. A new bridge flanked either side by shop pavilions will link the development to the town centre.

Excavation of the rocky site has commenced – the rammed piles are in, preparation for the bridge is underway and the construction contract for the shell and core of the flagship store and basement garage was awarded in November. Completion is scheduled for the end of November 2017, after which will follow a 6 month fit-out period for the 9,600 m² Primark store. We will continue to report on the progress of construction.
