Plans unveiled to upgrade and refresh The Mall at Camberley, UK
A new vision for the future of The Mall at Camberley has just been lodged with Surrey Heath Borough council planners.
£4.5m will be invested in the scheme to refurbish and modernise the existing Mall that will provide the 150 plus retailers with an environment for future growth.
The new design will embrace simplicity, juxtaposing natural finishes with elegant robust materials, introducing a palette suitable for all seasons, resulting in a contemporary and vibrant shopping destination. In particular, the current interior mall lighting is to be stripped out and replaced and a laser printed decorative roof film will be added to cover Main Square and Cambridge Square.
Designed by Chapman Taylor, the new look refurbishment has received a positive response during public & planning consultations.
The Mall occupies 390,000 ft² in Camberley town centre and attracts 9.7m visitors each year.
