Scott.Weber fit-out at the DOCK building in Prague wins Hub & Co-working Office of the Year Award

Chapman Taylor has won a prestigious Kanceláře Roku (Office of the Year) 2024 Award in the Hub and Co-Working category for the fit-out of the Scott.Weber workspace at the DOCK building in Prague.

The awards, organised by Prochazka & Partners, are designed to reward companies that invest in their office space and actively strive to create an attractive, functional, and healthy environment for their employees.

The fit-out for Scott.Weber covers 3191m² and provides a mix of flexible workplace options for individuals and companies demanding a premium environment in a popular residential and commercial district. The workspace is designed around well-being – space is divided into zones focused on body, mind, and social activities. The social zone features an ample event space, followed by an active zone with a stretching area, a games room, a gym, and a yoga room. The relaxation zone is located in a quiet area with massage facilities, a wellness area, and a fireplace. The material and colour palette proposed by Chapman Taylor was inspired by four elements – water, air, earth, and fire- that further promote the theme of well-being.

The standard workplaces are supplemented by twelve meeting rooms that can be booked, as well as phone booths and focus rooms for conference calls and one-to-one meetings. The DOCK Building includes a large community space for 80 people.

The fit-out design was created by Chapman Taylor's Prague Studio in close collaboration with the Scott.Weber Workplace in-house design team.

Filip Pokorny (PhD (Urban Planning and Brownfield Regeneration))

Director, Prague

Filip is responsible for the management of our key projects in Prague. He has strong retail design skills, as well as specialist design skills in planning and regeneration.

Balancing commercial and architectural insights, he has worked across all project stages, from feasibility, planning and building permitting processes through to on-site construction quality control.

Filip has been with Chapman Taylor’s Prague studio since 2007.

Petra Klauzová (Ing. arch.)

Architect

Petra studied architecture at Czech Technical University, graduating in 2013 with a master’s degree. As part of her studies, she took part in a one-year student exchange with Kansas State University.

Since joining the Chapman Taylor Prague studio in September 2013 as an Architect, Petra worked in the London studio between 2015-2021 on a range of global projects as a key member of the Feasibility team. She has since relocated back to the Prague studio.

Ivana Mercell (Ing. arch.)

Architect

Ivana graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava in 2012. Since 2010, she has been accumulating valuable experience in various architectural studios, primarily in Slovakia. Before joining Chapman Taylor in 2018, she was employed at Perspektiv, a studio where she honed her expertise in workspace interior design and contributed to fit-out projects like Colliers & Business Lease and ABSA IT HUB Prague.

During her tenure at Chapman Taylor, Ivana has worked on a diverse range of projects encompassing masterplanning, cultural institutions, educational facilities, office spaces, retail establishments, agricultural developments, and interior design projects. She is also a proficient project manager, collaborating with a multitude of professionals within the architectural industry.
