Take a look at the construction of the recently opened Bahia Real Commercial Park near Santander
A new timelapse video gives a great insight into the construction of Bahia Real Commercial Park, which is now operating successfully in northern Spain, having opened in December 2020.
The retail and leisure destination is located in the municipality of Camargo, very close to the city of Santander and Severiano Bastelleros Airport.
Designed by Chapman Taylor and developed by the British company Citygrove, the venue comprises 23 large premises spread over two floors, with a total GLA of 20,000 m2.
Well-known national and international brands are now well established at the complex, including Mercadona, Maisons du Monde, Sports Direct, Milbby, Sould Park children’s activities centre and Ocine Premium, which operates a nine-screen, 3,000 m2 cinema designed with the latest audiovisual technology and capable of seating more than 1,000 people.
Tenant works for the last remaining vacant premises are currently being completed, which will mean reaching 100% occupancy during the summer of 2021.
There is surface parking for 750 vehicles, including spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility and charging points for electric vehicles. A bicycle parking lot is also included to encourage more visitors to cycle to the scheme.
Our thanks to Copsesa, the construction company in charge of building the commercial park, for the interesting video, which shows the professionalism of the building process despite the challenging COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time.
