The Lexicon at Bracknell is one year old
One of the largest town centre regeneration projects in the UK, ‘The Lexicon’ at Bracknell is one year old. Opened in September 2017, this redevelopment provides a truly vibrant, mixed-use shopping and leisure environment.
With restaurants and bars fronting brand new public streets and squares, and a 12-screen Cineworld cinema, the area has brought the town of Bracknell to life day and night, and is very popular with local residents and those from surrounding areas.
In December 2017, at the UK’s prestigious Revo Gold Retail Awards, it won a Gold award in the Re:new category and the ‘Best of the Best’ award in the Re:turn category.
As well as being the delivery architects for MACE on the project, Chapman Taylor planned and designed one of the two key components of the scheme at Charles Square – connecting the brand new Northern Quarter to the existing Princess Square Centre.
The REVO awards and local positive reaction to The Lexicon reflects the quality and scale of what has been achieved at Bracknell. Congratulations to the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, MACE, BDP, ARUP, Gillespies and Hoare Lea, and everyone involved in the project and who have made The Lexicon the success it is today.
