Trinity Leeds shopping and leisure centre is officially opened
Designed by Chapman Taylor for Land Securities, Trinity Leeds is a 1 million sq ft shopping and leisure centre situated in the heart of Leeds which today, on Thursday 21st March, celebrated its official opening day. A £378m scheme, it is the first major shopping destination to open in the UK since 2011 and the only major retail-led development to be completed in Western Europe this year.
Already 90% let, the scheme houses approximately 20 restaurants and 100 shops which include a variety of tenants, 46 of which are brands new to Leeds, such as Apple, Mango, Hollister, D&D and an Everyman Cinema. The project will create over 2,600 new jobs and is intended to stimulate the local economy by incorporating advanced digital capabilities that recognise the changing shifts in retail habits.
The opening day marks the culmination of a huge amount of work by the UK teams and was attended by members of the Chapman Taylor team.
