Two 2024 Asia-Pacific Property Award wins for Chapman Taylor’s Shanghai studio
Chapman Taylor’s Shanghai studio received two awards at the 2024 Asia Pacific Property Awards. The Future Hotel—Curio by Hilton won the Best Hotel Architecture category prize, while the Jinhua Zijinhanbi Plaza triumphed in the Best Retail Interior category.

Chapman Taylor secured the design competition for Future Hotel, organized by Chongqing Liangjiang Industry Investment Group. Situated at the heart of Lijia Smart Experience Park, the 50,000m² GBA project enjoys a picturesque setting bounded by Baiyun Mountain, Baiyun Lake Park, and the historic Baiyunzhai forest region. Chapman Taylor’s design integrates nature with cutting-edge technology, creating a contextual and smart hotel for the Curio by Hilton brand. The development caters to business, conference, and tourist guests, offering personalised experiences and a smart, efficient, and healthy environment. Amenities include banquet halls, conference centres, fitness facilities, themed dining options, and VIP suites. The landscaped common areas feature interactive art installations and an entrance plaza. An automated check-in service utilising AI facial recognition and a virtual "butler" enhance guest convenience.

Chapman Taylor’s visionary interior design for Jinhua Zijinhanbi Plaza seamlessly integrates business, art, and technology, aiming to redefine Jinhua's shopping and leisure experience and beyond. Located in the dynamic Jindong district within the Jinhua Central Business District (CBD) and Transport Oriented Development (TOD), this retail and leisure project spans an impressive 300,000m², with approximately 73,000m² dedicated to commercial spaces.
