Yichun Xu promoted to Associate Director at our Shanghai studio

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Yichun Xu to the position of Associate Director at our Shanghai studio.

Yichun joined us in 2018 and has since become a key member of the studio’s masterplanning team. Among the major projects on which she has worked are the Beixingjing masterplan for Shanghai, the Xiangyang Mixed-Use District, Future Hotel in Chongqing, the Xili Hub Area in Shenzhen and the Sanya Baopo Cultural and Sports District in Hainan.

She has also coordinated the teams for a series of confidential projects, on which we have been highly successful, competing against some of the world’s leading architectural practices.

Yichun’s interest in masterplanning and urban design started at a young age when playing the computer game SimCity!

Well organised, diligent and enthusiastic, Yichun leads a large team with calm determination and a smile while overseeing very complex and intensive masterplan projects.

Graduating from the University of Michigan (Postgraduate) and Nanjing University (Undergraduate), Yichun has 4 years of experience working in New York, and 3 years of experience working in China, before joining Chapman Taylor in 2018.

As an expert in the Chinese market, she has worked on a wide range of design projects including largescale masterplans, urban design projects, tourism planning, station design, landscape design and architecture projects.
