Attractive landscaped surroundings

The J8 Office Park office development is located in Bucharest’s 1st District, in the north of the city - a high-density residential area. The 78,400m2 GBA project comprises two separate and self-contained, eight-floor office buildings set over a shared two-level basement parking structure. The buildings are set in a beautifully landscaped environment designed to create semi-public spaces of human scale with an attractive and relaxing atmosphere.

A vibrant streetscape

The buildings have U-shaped floorplans, with centrally positioned, double-height entrance lobbies facing the common landscaped zone between the two buildings. The floorplates are flexible and are capable of easy sub-division to allow for multiple tenancies, with the ability to create four tenancies per floor, if required.

In-house amenities such as restaurants, retail units and a gym, provide a convenient service for the everyday needs of office staff and local residents while creating an active frontage and a more vibrant streetscape.

Welcoming, safe and sustainable

The development has a BREEAM Outstanding rating for sustainability – it is energy-efficient and has a low carbon footprint, reducing running costs and maintenance charges, and is built using recycled and responsibly sourced materials wherever possible. The site has an excellent strategic location near two of Bucharest’s main radial roads and is served by the Jiului metro station and a route 24 tram stop, as well as being near a number of bus routes. Igor has completed several major workplace projects in Prague and Bucharest, as well as retail and leisure centres in Romania. He has extensive experience throughout all design stages and also as the client’s representative, monitoring design quality and making regular site inspections during the construction stages.

Igor joined Chapman Taylor’s Prague studio in the Czech Republic in 2000 and has been responsible for several of its key projects in the CEE region, primarily in Romania.
