A design for a slow pace of life in Anji County, China
This concept design for Anji Bamboo aligns with a desire for a slower pace of life and a return to nature.
Located in Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, this 21,000m2 mixed-use project has a large hospitality element and also offers restaurants, children’s entertainment, leisure facilities and retail.
The rapid development of the city has seen an increase in noise, congestion and a pressurised lifestyle. As an antidote, this design is based on the waterscape of the mountain view, the introduction of hot springs and areas for children to play and return to nature as much as possible. Families can stay at Anji Bamboo and enjoy the simplicity of the landscape and the use of earthy materials such as brick and ceramics.
The building itself is like a sculpture scattered in the city park, stretching against the light, stimulating a wish to explore for those that set their eyes on it. In tandem with the hotel element will be a network of associated services such as outlets for nature education and online advisory sites and products.
The Zhuboyuan bus stop is 400 meters away from the site and very convenient for transportation. On the east side of the site is Fuyu Road and on the south side is Meiling Road. The north side of Mozhu Road connects with an additional 201 provincial roads.
