​Catalina Ionita Nominated for Inspiring Women in Property Award

Catalina Ionita, a senior architect at Chapman Taylor, has been nominated for an Inspiring Women in Property Award in the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Champion of the Year category.

The Inspiring Women in Property Awards, presented by Property Week magazine, celebrate remarkable individuals and companies for their extraordinary achievements and outstanding performances in the real estate industry. Nominees are carefully selected by an esteemed panel of industry judges.

The EDI Champion of the Year award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion within the real estate sector over the past year.

Based in the Manchester studio, Catalina is an active member of Women in Property North West and serves as their Inclusion Champion. Women in Property is dedicated to creating opportunities, expanding knowledge, and inspiring change for women working in the property and construction industries. Catalina frequently moderates and speaks at Women in Property events.

The winners will be announced at the Inspiring Women in Property Awards ceremony, which will take place at the London Hilton Park Lane on October 8, 2024.

Catalina joined the Manchester studio in 2021 as an Architect supporting the Feasibility team. She brings a passion for successful placemaking to her work in the residential and mixed-use sectors.

She has experience working on a wide range of projects at all work stages, including large residential developments, masterplans, offices and listed buildings restorations.

Having completed her MArch degree in Architecture at Sheffield Hallam University in 2018, Catalina is now conducting PhD research there, with a focus on art-centred placemaking. In 2020, she made RIBA’s Rising Stars shortlist for her project work and her research on ethics and sustainability in architecture.
