Chapman Taylor design first 4DX cinema in London

Chapman Taylor have recently completed the multi-million pound renovation of the Cineworld 14 screen cinema in Wandsworth, London.

Part of this exciting and innovative project was the introduction of London’s first 4 D motion cinema.

Providing a revolutionary cinematic experience which stimulates all five senses, the 4DX includes high-tech motion seats and special effects including wind, fog, lightning, bubbles, water, rain and scents, in both 2D and 3D formats. These effects work in perfect synchronicity with the action on screen – creating the most unmissable and exhilarating cinematic experience yet.

4DX is widely considered to be the biggest innovation in cinematic technology to date. Developed in South Korea by the CJ conglomerate, a leader in the Asian entertainment industry, this amazing, new experience was warmly adopted by the big Hollywood Studios.

In addition to this ‘first’ for London, the Cineworld Wandsworth also includes the large format cinema ‘ Superscreen’. This is a giant sized screen complete with 4K Dual projectors and immersive sound system from Dolby ATMOS.
