Eda, a 331ft Build-to-Rent tower designed by Chapman Taylor in Salford Quays, Manchester, has earned a spot on the shortlist for an Inside Housing Development Award in the Best Build-to-Rent project category. The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Royal Lancaster in London.

The Inside Housing Development Awards offer an opportunity to celebrate the best residential developments across the UK over the past year. The awards recognise the teams, schemes and solutions that have positively impacted these exceptional times. Award categories celebrate all real estate professionals, including housebuilders, developers, landlords, architects and sustainability innovators.

Eda is a remarkable 29-storey residential tower offering 290 build-to-rent apartments in various configurations, including 1-bed, 2-bed, and 3-bed layouts. The building boasts abundant amenity space designed to enrich residents' lives, with extensive ground floor and mezzanine levels serving as vibrant hubs for work, exercise, and social gatherings. These spaces are complemented by biodiverse green areas, adding a touch of nature to urban living.

Internally, Eda features many amenities, including co-working spaces, residents' lounges, a cinema room, bookable private dining and entertaining facilities, a fully equipped gym, and an on-site concierge and management team. The development includes 4,000 sqft of commercial space, already pre-let to Co-op Food, and shared residential landscaped terraces and rooftop penthouse apartments with expansive private terraces.

Collaborating closely with the client Cole Waterhouse, Chapman Taylor conceptualised Eda's vision, completed the concept design, and secured full planning approval in October 2020. Construction commenced in Summer 2021 and reached completion in September 2023.
