Chapman Taylor-Designed Eda wins three prestigious HomeViews Resident Choice Awards
The HomeViews Resident Choice Awards 2025, held on Thursday, 13th February at The Vox in Birmingham, celebrated excellence in the UK’s Build to Rent (BTR) sector. Among the standout winners was Eda, a Chapman Taylor-designed residential development, which received three coveted awards:
- Top Rated Rental-Only Community: North-West
- Top Rated Small Rental Community – UK (101-300 units)
- Joint Winner of Resident Team of the Year
The awards are based exclusively on verified reviews from residents, making Eda’s wins a testament to its exceptional quality and community-focused design.
An iconic Build-to-Rent development in Salford Quays
Eda, the first collaboration between Cole Waterhouse and Taurus Investment Holdings, is a 29-storey tower located on a prominent gateway site at the entry to Salford Quays. The development comprises 290 high-quality apartments in one, two, and three-bedroom configurations, complemented by generous amenities that enhance residents’ living experiences.
The ground and mezzanine levels feature thoughtfully designed spaces for co-working, exercising, and socialising, as well as external, biodiverse green spaces that promote wellbeing and sustainability. Key internal amenities include:
- Co-working spaces and residents’ lounges
- Cinema room and bookable private dining/entertainment spaces
- Fully equipped gym
- Dedicated on-site concierge and management team
The development also includes 4,000 sqft of commercial space, and two shared landscaped terraces, located on the mezzanine and 19th floors. Additionally, rooftop penthouse apartments boast extensive private terraces, offering stunning views of the city.
A testament to collaboration and design excellence
Working closely with Cole Waterhouse, Chapman Taylor led the vision, concept design, and planning for the project, securing full planning approval in October 2020. Construction began in Summer 2021 and was completed ahead of schedule in September 2023, delivering the project on budget and three months early.
Eda has consistently received high praise on HomeViews, the UK’s leading BTR resident review platform, which boasts over 44,000 reviews and covers more than 92% of Build-to-Rent buildings nationwide. Residents have highlighted Eda’s thoughtful design, well-integrated amenities, and dedicated management team as key reasons for its top ratings.
