Chapman Taylor designs Vanke Xi’an mixed-use development in China’s Xi’an City
Chapman Taylor has created and developed the design for Vanke Xi’an, a family-orientated mixed-use project in the Chinese city of Xi’an.
The project, which has a total floor area of 176,000m2, will create a vibrant, five-floor community shopping centre in the city’s Weiyang District, offering a sustainable and exciting retail, leisure and entertainment experience suitable for all age groups.
The shopping centre will offer a new signature image and brand identity, combining a wide range of shops with entertainment activities and healthy living. The development is designed to ensure smooth commercial circulation, with a biophilic, ecology-themed interior design and a relaxing, landscaped roof space in which shoppers can enjoy the outdoors.
The completed scheme will also include two high-rise residential towers and another residential building.
Vanke Xi’an is located on the south-east side of Xinjia Temple Overpass in Weiyang District, adjacent to Guang'an Road and Beichen Road as well as Xinjia Temple Metro Station. The development, which will open in 2021, was designed by Chapman Taylor for Chinese property development company Vanke.
