Chapman Taylor featuring in RTPI digital series
Championing the power of planning for a sustainable future, the Royal Town Planning Institute has partnered with Content with Purpose to produce a series of short films featuring experts from across the planning ecosystem.
Director Adrian Griffiths and associate director Daniel Morgans feature in three films that focus on our experience masterplanning an improved town centre layout for Coventry.
Adrian explains, “Urgent change is needed to make our urban centres fit for purpose and with a sustainable future, meeting the zero-carbon agenda and standing the test of time. Establishing a clear vision will ultimately lead to the creation of authentic centres that are home to new multi-cultural communities of all ages, where they can live, work and play.”
Also featured in the digital series are experts including Timothy Crawshaw MA MRTPI FRSA, President of the RTPI, Karime Hassan, Chief Executive Officer at Exeter City Futures, and Emily Braham, Director at Energiesprong UK.
Alongside Chapman Taylor, organisations featured include Atkins, the School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University, the Landscape Decisions Programme, Ramboll, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), the Centre for Sustainable Planning and Environments at UWE Bristol, and Wates Developments.
Victoria Hills, Chief Executive of the RTPI, said, “Planners are crucial in embedding solutions to climate change - from net zero transport to urban greening. We are delighted to partner with CWP to celebrate collaboration, research, skills and innovation in tackling this existential threat, and we hope the series inspires all planners and adjacent professions to embed climate action across their work.”
Chapman Taylor is continuing to bring to fruition major urban regeneration projects across the UK, including our award-winning masterplan for Coventry City Centre, currently under construction.
