Chapman Taylor wins Queen's Awards for Enterprise
Chapman Taylor architects has been awarded a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, the same year the practice celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious awards for business success. Chapman Taylor is the only architectural practice to win the award this year for outstanding commercial success in international trade - more than doubling overseas earnings over the three year review period - 2006, 2007 and 2008. This was achieved through highly focused, professional business and marketing strategies.
In addition to commercial success, Chapman Taylor met the highest standards of the Queen’s Awards’ criteria by demonstrating commitment to its presence in local markets, including active participation in local and international trade events and fostering good relations with local communities and employees. Special attention was paid to the practice’s environmental considerations - the achievement of BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and other highest international sustainability and energy performance standards in commercial projects, as well as being members of the Green Building Council and having robust internal sustainability policies in place.
“We are delighted to receive this prestigious award which coincides with our 50th anniversary. I feel it is the highest form of recognition of our international team’s efforts and ability,” said Christopher Lanksbury, Director, Chapman Taylor.
“We are particularly proud that our practice is made up of many different nationalities all working towards a common goal.”
