Chapman Taylor’s design for The Watergardens at the Lowry Outlet in MediaCityUK unveiled
Lifestyle Outlets has unveiled its plans for The Watergardens, an elegant dining concept designed by Chapman Taylor to create a variety of new waterside restaurants for the Lowry Outlet at MediaCityUK in Manchester.
The Watergardens will host a series of diverse restaurant options within an attractive landscape which makes full use of the southerly aspect – creating a food destination which will have the best waterside views in Greater Manchester.
The development will incorporate biophilic design principles to blend natural features, such as planted landscaping and improved natural light, with the urban environment. Existing waterside trees will be thinned out to ensure that the remaining trees have sufficient space to thrive, while also allowing for much-improved views across the water.
In addition to Chapman Taylor’s design for the Watergardens, Lifestyle Outlets will be delivering a new waterfront promenade which will connect the Millennium Bridge to the Lowry Outlet, as well as improved public realm and internal improvements to the outlet centre itself. The project is expected to create 150 new jobs and substantially boost Salford’s retail, leisure and dining scene.
Prior to submitting a planning application to Salford City Council, Lifestyle Outlets will be showcasing its plans to interested members of the public between 1pm and 7pm on Saturday 4 August 2018 at the Exhibition Suite, opposite the Clarks Outlet store on the ground floor of the Lowry Outlet.
