Construction well advanced at The MixC in Linyi, China

Construction is now at an advanced stage at The MixC mixed-use development at Linyi in China’s Shandong Province.

Located in the centre of the city, this mixed-use project includes retail, F&B, offices and residential apartments. The 101,300m² GBA development will be spread across six floors.

Linyi is known for being a major centre of China’s diamond industry, as well as for its exquisite calligraphy – our interior design concept draws inspiration from both to create a visual representation of the area’s culture and history.

The design replicates the lines formed by the diamond cutting process, providing a common design motif throughout the ceiling and atrium cornices, the centre’s three atriums and the retail mall.

Two different floor textures are used for the public walkways and the urban park area at the upper levels, creating a stylish, uncluttered and visually stimulating shopping space.

The MixC at Linyi was designed by Chapman Taylor and is set to open in October 2019.
