Designer Outlet Warsaw opens in Poland
Chapman Taylor-designed extension of Designer Outlet Warsaw has opened in Poland.
Designer Outlet Warsaw is a unique retail destination in the city, providing discounted offers from major international brands. The new extension expands the retail space by up to 5,500m², adding a third more space to the existing 17,000m² complex. The new wing hosts 30 new brands.
The central entrance, leading directly to the food court, has been rearranged to provide additional restaurant space, with a new conservatory featuring large windows bringing abundant natural light into the stylish interior.
There is also a new 23,000m² multi-storey car park, adding c.500 parking spaces to the existing surface parking spaces to create 1,300 spaces in total.
The extension malls, façade and car park have been designed to complement the existing Outlet building, the architecture for which is inspired by Warsaw’s historic Old Town.
As well as architectural and interior design, Chapman Taylor’s Warsaw studio also coordinated the multidisciplinary engineering services. Our role included providing retail consultancy, feasibility studies for the existing retail, interior design for the new retail wing and the remodelled food court and the submission of various administrative applications.
ROS (Retail Outlet Shopping), the operator of Designer Outlet Warsaw, expects the much-anticipated extension to open in autumn 2020.
