Groundbreaking Ceremony for SEGRO Park Düsseldorf
Last Wednesday marked an exciting milestone for SEGRO with the groundbreaking ceremony for our latest project, SEGRO Park Düsseldorf Flingern!
Located on the historic former Thyssen site between Königsberger Straße and Höherweg, this development represents our third brownfield project in the state capital of Düsseldorf. By the end of the first half of 2025, the site will be transformed into:
- 22,400 square metres of flexible commercial space, divisible into units ranging from 400 to 2,000 square metres – perfect for a variety of businesses.
- Photovoltaic systems generating 1.6 MW of peak green electricity to power the site sustainably.
- Over 50 e-charging stations for both cars and bicycles, promoting emission-free mobility.
- A comprehensive greening concept for the office roofs and facades to contribute to a better urban climate.
- Biodiversity initiatives including beehives, insect hotels, and bird nesting opportunities to support local wildlife.
Our aim is to achieve the DGNB Gold Sustainability Certificate, underscoring SEGRO's continued commitment to environmentally friendly developments. SEGRO Park Düsseldorf Flingern will be an exemplary sustainable commercial park that blends cutting-edge design with eco-conscious practices.
Employees and visitors alike will benefit from landscaped green areas for relaxation and recreation, as well as a unique boules court for a break from the daily routine. We are excited to watch this project evolve into a vibrant hub for businesses in the heart of Düsseldorf.
