J8 Office Park wins two ‘Best of the Best’ Hall of Fame Awards
The 7th annual edition of the Hall Of Fame (HOF) Awards was held on 21st April 2022 and J8 Office Park won "Best of the Best Office Development" and “Best New Office Leasing Transaction”.
Chapman Taylor designed this high-specification and sustainable workplace development on behalf of Portland Trust. J8 Office Park is in Bucharest’s 1st District, in the north of the city - a high-density residential area. The 78,400m2 GBA project comprises two separate and self-contained, eight-floor office buildings set over a shared two-level basement parking structure.
J8 Office Park was built to transform technology into a real asset by focusing on the health and wellness benefits that it can provide to the tenants. The development has a BREEAM Outstanding rating for sustainability – it is energy-efficient and has a low carbon footprint, reducing running costs and maintenance charges, and is built using recycled and responsibly sourced materials.
The Best of the Best Hall of Fame Awards is the climax of the CIJ Awards series, pitting the winning projects and companies from around Central & Eastern Europe against each other to determine who the Best of the Best really are. This year’s event features entries from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia. A select group of real estate leaders from the region vote as a jury in combination with votes from CIJ readers.
