Leisure Director David Wallace interviewed in Design Week magazine on cinema’s renaissance
Chapman Taylor Director David Wallace features in Design Week magazine, talking about designing for a new “golden age” of cinema, particularly high street cinemas.
In the piece, David is interviewed about the importance of technical excellence for the new generation of cinemas, in particular for creating a “wow factor” for moviegoers.
He describes how the use of digital projectors has helped transform possibilities in terms of what cinema design can now offer, and how the lobby experience is also key to the overall moviegoing experience – helping to make trips to the cinema about more than just watching the films themselves.
David joined Chapman Taylor’s London studio as a Director in 2015 and leads our work in the leisure and hospitality sectors. He has over 25 years’ experience working internationally in the cinema sector, leading on major projects in the UK, USA, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, China and elsewhere.
