Lipno Resort Opens in Czech Republic
Lipno resort in southern Bohemia, Czech Republic, is now open. Chapman Taylor designed the luxury destination offering 79 residential lakeside apartments and penthouses and a restaurant, with beautiful views over the Lipno lake. A hotel, also designed by Chapman Taylor, is due to start construction in 2024.
Chapman Taylor’s designs combine a detailed understanding of the needs of the resort’s residents and guests with a sensitivity to the beautiful countryside and lakeside context.
The resort recently won ‘Best Large Scale Residential Project’ at the Best of Realty Awards in the Czech Republic and the jury appreciated the exceptional architecture, high-quality workmanship and thoughtful details of the project, which meets the specific requirements of residents and visitors to the location, and is sensitively integrated into the lakeside setting. Due to its layout, and thanks to the 150-meter-long timber pier, which boasts a stunning waterside restaurant, the project forms an impressive landmark and creates a new social focus for the lakeside community.
Lipno is surrounded by the Šumava National Park – a stunning ancient forest which is a haven for highly diverse flora and fauna. The area, near the Austrian border in southern Bohemia, is ideal for water sports, sailing, hiking, cycling and horse riding in the summer, with skating and alpine/cross-country skiing during the winter months.
