Michael Swiszczowski and Jorge Alonso Rodríguez to speak at REBUILD, Madrid, 21-22 September
UK Residential Director Michael Swiszczowski and Madrid studio Architect and Planner Jorge Alonso Rodríguez will be among the key speakers at this year’s REBUILD Expo, which takes place in Madrid from 21-23 September.
The REBUILD Expo is a platform for key figures from the construction industry to discuss and showcase sustainable innovation strategies and the latest technologies and materials. The three-day event will take place at Madrid’s IFEMA Convention Centre.
At 16:15 (Madrid time) on Tuesday 21 September, Michael will speaking about the Build-to-Rent sector, expanding on some of the issues he explored in his recent Insight papers on the sector, including the excellent template that Build-to-Rent offers for post-Covid residential design and the ways in which Build-to-Rent developments must be future-proofed for future consumer behaviour.
With experience working on award-winning residential projects, Michael is helping to lead the expansion of our Build-to-Rent residential portfolio across the United Kingdom, including high-profile developments at Flax Place in Leeds and Kampus and Anchorage Gateway in Manchester. He speaks regularly at Build-to-Rent industry events, explaining why Chapman Taylor believes that the format is an important element in tackling the UK’s housing crisis as well as helping to provide the basis for a strong sense of community in towns and cities.
Then, at 17:00 (Madrid time) on Wednesday 22 September, Jorge will be presenting Chapman Taylor’s Umbrellahaus® modular residential concept and its potential application to provide much-needed, affordable and flexible homes, of varying sizes and types, at scale and speed in the UK and internationally. The concept is also applicable in the hotel sector, providing operators with a future-proofed and easily adaptable hotel format.
Jorge is responsible for our business development strategy in Spain and Latin America and is a regular speaker at international real estate conferences on innovation, technology, society, the future and responsible design. As an Architect and Planner, he is a member of the Madrid studio’s Creative Research team and a specialist in project design, having worked on the design and development of many mixed-use, retail, leisure, office, hotel and residential projects in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
Both Michael and Jorge will be happy to talk to you about Chapman Taylor’s experience in the Build-to-Rent and modular construction sectors – you can talk to them at the event or contact them at the email addresses below.
