Michael Swiszczowski Nominated for Lifetime Achievement Award at ARL People Awards 2024

Chapman Taylor Director Michael Swiszczowski has been nominated for a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Association for Rental Living (ARL) People Awards 2024.

The ARL, formerly known as the UK Apartment Association (UKAA), represents the professionally managed, institutionally backed rental living sectors, encompassing urban and suburban single-family and multi-family rentals, co-living, and later living communities.

The ARL People Awards in 2024 celebrate individuals who have made or continue to make significant contributions to the Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector, including efforts towards enhancing customer experience. The awards focus on three key categories and will be presented at the ARL Annual Conference on 7 November 2024. These awards reflect the ARL's commitment to promoting excellence, quality, and best practices within the BTR industry.

In addition to his nomination, Michael Swiszczowski will lead a design challenge workshop at the conference, titled "Envisioning the Mid-Market BTR," on Thursday, 7th November, from 12:20 PM to 1:25 PM, alongside Chapman Taylor Senior Architect Catalina Ionita. Together, they will share their insights and expertise on the evolving design landscape within the rental living sector. Participants will engage in a design challenge set by the keynote speakers, aiming to define new BTR solutions that deliver value to both residents and investors.

Michael joined Chapman Taylor in 2016 to strengthen the practice’s residential expertise. A key member of the Manchester studio’s management team, Michael has a business development remit for the residential sector across the UK business.

He has experience working on award-winning residential projects with a particular focus on build-to-rent, student accommodation and modular construction.

He is a RIBA-elected member of the Regional Council for RIBA North West.
