New Entry
Manchester Goods Yard is a significant new office scheme at the heart of the St. John’s regeneration development, a new city centre neighbourhood underpinned by enterprise, culture and living.
It was recently shortlisted for a British Council of Offices (BCO) Northern Awards in the Commercial Workplace category. At the event, the judges commented: "Nestled in the heart of Enterprise City Manchester Goods Yard seamlessly marries work and leisure in one elegant building. Inspired by New York’s industrial warehouses, this cutting-edge workspace blends functional sophistication with aesthetic appeal. Bespoke joinery such as the helical staircase enriches the space with an earthy warmth while WiredScore Platinum connectivity ensures it’s an innovative workplace too."
The ground floor, a lively epicentre, hosts a variety of food and beverage options, catering to both resident workers and St. John’s visitors throughout the day.
The large-format office floorplates are designed to create an adaptable and flexible workspace. The design embraces health & wellbeing and elements of biophilia in order to create a vibrant environment for people to enjoy.
Chapman Taylor designed this development for developer Allied London and was then novated to Main Contractor Lendlease for the delivery stage, seeing the project through from concept to completion. The project was funded by Aviva Life & Pensions UK.
