New image brings to life Chapman Taylor's design for Central Bay, Quayside MediaCity
Chapman Taylor has released a new image which depicts Central Bay, a new F&B destination opening this summer at Quayside Media City in Salford, Lancashire, UK, part of an overall £3.5m transformation.
This new waterfront dining and drinking destination will be the first of its kind in Salford and one of the biggest in the region. Central Bay is named after the original stretch of the dock - once a loading bay during the industrial revolution.
The south-facing outside terrace space is 2,000 sq ft and will hold up to 600 visitors. The indoor space will feature a new food hall, Kargo, with multiple street vendor spaces also available to rent within Kargo Market.
Blend Family, in partnership with Quayside MediaCity, will showcase up-and-coming talent in the food and drink arena. There will also be four new independent restaurants, 13 kitchens, pop-up events, indie markets, live music performances and play areas for children.
Stephen Wild, managing director for MediaCity, said: "Central Bay is an ambitious and transformational project for Quayside MediaCity which will be a fantastic place for our growing number of residents, workers, students and visitors to enjoy great food, in a tranquil yet vibrant waterside setting.
It will be truly unique and a celebration of local food, drink and art – which is what we know, from the Salford Vision 2030 research piece, local people want to see and access. Central Bay will add another dimension to MediaCity and Quayside and will bolster its growing reputation as a leading leisure and cultural destination."
