Chapman Taylor’s London studio has promoted two members of staff, Phillip Durrans becomes a Director and Luke Kendall is promoted to Associate Director.
Phillip joined the practice in 2007 in Manchester to work on MediaCityUK and in 2008 took on the role of Project Team Leader on Trinity Leeds working closely with Laing O’Rourke to deliver this award winning scheme for Land Securities. Following this, Phill led the Port Baku Towers 2 project in Azerbaijan and has been instrumental in developing relationships with Pasha Construction and Mace International contributing to Chapman Taylor winning further major projects in Baku.
Having been promoted to Associate Director in 2014, Phill is currently leading the Westgate Oxford project with Laing O’Rourke to deliver this complex city centre regeneration project for Land Securities and The Crown Estate. He has recently relocated to London where he will now be based to further develop the Practice’s design management and technical delivery capabilities with the aim of securing further major projects opportunities for the business.
Luke Kendall has worked with Chapman Taylor since 2006 when he joined to work on the Yellow Quadrant Mall refurbishment at MetroCentre, Gateshead. Subsequent to that he became a member of the Transportation Team before taking up a key role in the design and successful delivery of the Spiceal Street development in Birmingham.
In 2012 Luke joined the Trinity Leeds team, taking responsibility for the design of some elements of the now highly-acclaimed ‘Trinity Kitchen’ new food concept, together with its successful delivery in October 2013. Following a further period in the Transportation Team working on a variety of projects, Luke has now taken up an important role on the £250M Westgate Oxford scheme, working closely with the wider Laing O’Rourke team to manage the flow of information to ensure successful delivery of this high-profile project for Land Securities and The Crown Estate in autumn 2017.
We would like to congratulate both Phillip and Luke on their new roles !
