Redesign of the Kupiec Poznański mixed-use building unveiled in Poznań
Plans for the remodelling of Kupiec Poznański mixed-use complex, designed to help it thrive in the era of online shopping and transformed working practices, have been unveiled in the Polish city of Poznań.
The scheme, created on behalf of Kupiec Poznański Real Estate, will include reconfigured office and retail spaces along with a new 4-Star Marriott-branded hotel.
The building is one of the most easily recognised in the heart of the city, located near the Old Town Square – making it ideally placed for business and tourism visitors.
In addition to reorganised office spaces for the strongly growing business sector in the city, the rearranged retail and F&B elements will cater for the increasing numbers of tourists visiting Poznań by offering a relaxing and intimate atmosphere.
The hotel, being incorporated into the building’s west wing, will offer 150 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and conference/multipurpose facilities for use by the city’s thriving business convention sector.
Chapman Taylor’s Warsaw studio is working in collaboration with WSP Polska on the interior and exterior transformation of Kupiec Poznański. Construction is scheduled to complete in 2022.
Chapman Taylor Associate Director Rafał Giersz says of the project: “Our many years of experience in designing similar facilities, both for the Polish and international markets, will ensure that Kupiec Poznański will thrive for many years to come”.
