Refurbishment of Sparkasse Saving Bank well-advanced in Iserlohn, Germany
The refurbishment of the Sparkasse Saving Bank in Iserlohn, Germany, is now well-advanced, as can be seen in new images of the project’s construction. The redevelopment is set to be completed this year.
Chapman Taylor jointly won a design competition, together with BKP architects, for the conversion of Sparkasse Iserlohn.
The bank is investing around €18.6 million in the refurbishment of the existing building, for which Chapman Taylor is responsible for the architecture, while BKP is designing the interiors.
The refurbishment of the bank is the first step towards the redevelopment of the whole area around Schillerplatz by the City of Iserlohn and the adjacent Karstadt department store.
Chapman Taylor’s design delivers a striking, contemporary building for Sparkasse Iserlohn, complementing the urban context while creating a modern and attractive environment for employees and customers.
