Residential: Chapman Taylor to speak at 'Offsite Futures' conference
Chapman Taylor Director, Tom Klingholz and Associate Director, Michael Swiszczowski are to speak about the practice’s off-site modular project, ‘Umbrellahaus’, at the forthcoming ‘Offsite Futures’ at Birmingham's NEC on 24.11.2016.
The Umbrellahus project was initially developed in response to the UK’s growing housing crisis & explores the uses of modular design and construction techniques to facilitate off-site prefabrication and manufacture. Chapman Taylor will discuss how their modular work in various sectors has helped advance the project and why modular design looks set to lead construction techniques of the future.
More organisations than ever before are recognising the potential benefits of offsite construction with innovative building techniques that are leaner, more efficient and that also minimise disruption, guarantee quality, fix cost and save time.
Tom Klingholz leads Chapman Taylor’s UK Residential team and Michael Swiszczowski has been instrumental in developing the design of both the Umbrellahaus project and Chapman Taylor’s first fully modular hotel project which is currently on-site at Trafford City, Manchester, UK.
